PADLA: Exploring the Technologies Behind Sustainable Competencies


Join us for a unique PADLA evening event in Wilmington, DE, co-hosted by the Technology Forum of Delaware, for an exploration of the technologies that are behind sustainable competencies.

PRESENTATION

New digital learning technologies, such as Gamification and Virtual Reality, are constantly being added to the set of tools available to learning organizations. Some work other and others don’t. John Royer, Founder & Managing Partner of InSiteHub, is an award- winning learning strategist and technologist, and an expert in learning trends, will present a studied look at the impact of learning technologies over time.

John will share his insights into how technologies including micro learning, gamification, badging, nano-degrees, confidence based testing and e-portfolios are being implemented together to drive the latest trends in micro credentialing and ultimately sustainable competencies for corporate learning. John will also examine how online coaching, new platforms, and Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality fit into the corporate learning strategies of the future.

Representatives from our host, Wilmington University, will also conduct tours of their gamification lab, learning technologies lab, and discuss details of their Collaborative Work Program.

Scott Shaw, Chair, Game Design and Development Program will demonstrate how organizations can take advantage of the newer technologies including Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, and Mixed Reality in the context of online learning, micro credentialing, and competency based learning.
