PADLA: IPEX Building Tour & Patient Simulation Technology Review:


PADLA cordially invites you to attend our next meeting to be held on 6/16/15 at the University of the Sciences:


Join us for a tour the new IPEX Building at the University of the Sciences and experience the history and latest breakthroughs in healthcare simulation training. This will be a unique look into both a state-of-the-art building design from both the architectural and learning technology perspectives, followed by and a deeper dive into USciences' Physicians Assistant program where you will tour video-enabled exam rooms with realistic manikins that respond to treatment.

Get a small group guided  tour of the University of the Sciences recently completed IPEX, (Integrated Professional Education Complex) while experiencing some of the latest learning technologies used to enhance healthcare education. Gain an understanding in the decision-making process when incorporating state-of-the-art learning technologies into a new space.

Kevin will take you on an in-depth journey from the inception of medical simulation (and it's struggles) through modern times. The audience will gain perspective on traditional medical teaching techniques, mistakes made in the siloed learning environment and eventually be comforted knowing that most of the medical practitioners touching their loved ones have been trained using the latest and greatest technology. The audience is invited to open their minds, and be prepared to be frightened and enlightened!!
